What Gen Y wants from work

Web Worker DailyHere’s another great story from webworkerdaily.com’s guest writer Ryan Healy. He takes a look at what generation Y workers want from their work and how they are changing the employee / employer dynamic. Topics: remote work locations, entrepreneurship in standard business structures, and the freelance mentality.

20 Ways to Use Linkedin Productively

Linked inI’m a big fan of webworkerdaily.com even thought i’m not technically a “web worker.” They don’t disappoint in this write-up on 20 Ways to Use Linkedin Productively.

I must admit, since signing up for Linked in, I haven’t found much use for it. The site isn’t very intuitive, and the way they charge you for a premium membership just to send some messages seems archaic by my social web standards. Someone who does use it well is my friend Brett Sloan @ Accounting Business Advisors. He’s a genius at using it to distribute and collect information. I keep meaning to ask for some pointers

Mobile Posting

I’ve been trying to get email uploads to work so I could post from any mobile device I chose (aka my new iphone)but with no luck. And I’ve tried everything. I’m running workpress 2.2.1 and wp-mail.php isn’t working and postie isn’t working as a second option. Oh well. What is cool is that the iphone loads the wordpress admin panels almost perfectly! So this post has been entered entirely on my new iphone. I’ll be writing a full review of the iPhone soon so stay tuned.
